Suffra, Shangri-la, Qaryat Al Beri, Abudhabi

 

                  It was one of the bestest brunches we had have with many particularities. It was the live music,  a huge place and ample specialities,  the glorious hotel interiors, the perfect romantic weather outside with a downpour, the beauty of beach and the views.It was superb all in all!

 The interiors are all majestic and royal.you step inside and  witness  a gorgeous scenario with the high roof ,low white  curtains and wider lobby.you stair down and look at the magical effects of mighty mirrors contributing more claverly to the vast impact.you come near the treasure shop n you admired the beauty of Arab culture. Step further down and witness the best  snob ever.High walls  with silk window hangings feel  like being in a big castle or a palace. In a city of royals you're feeling like a royal. 

                         Tons of salads, sauces , many stations of   grill,sushi, seafood, BBQ,pasta and live cooking with an  Ample variety of Arabic and international sweets and pasteries  including ice cream, cotton candy,  cookies, macaroons,Um ali, muffins,crossiants,,,in short everything you want is there. I bet you can hardly taste everything altogether, leave eating. 

                  One of the best service they offered was the sitting area  we have been  given .we two with our  two kiddos ,got the bestest, widest and comfy family place with a big easy  couch that was a real bliss  for us with two arm chairs .so were  definitly not pushed to a small corner instead or on a table of four with four arm chairs that never correlate with kids around.  we were occupying a comfy suite that was enhancing our sence of ambiance and royalty. 

                           The live music was the soul of brunch.Although there was no particular kids activities or play area for Kids except a balloon Popper or some face painting around , it was the live music who kept us refreshed and entertained  throughout the hours.our munchkins  were dancing and shaking and totally have been forgotten  about their tantrum lover issues.

The pool and beach is wide and occuping great views.  The sun  with orange rays around  was setting with a glimmering reflection in the sea with a wonderful view of grand mosque. it gave me dozens of beautiful shots for my instagram and kept me busy till the sun set. No wonders the prices are high as its loaded with worth trying ingredients.

It was definitely the taste,  Beauty of place and the quick  hospitality that made us revisit Applebee's   within fifteen days.and this time it was 27 March 2016. My  family enjoyed their meals during our last visit . they

 were not interested to experiment new dishes  this time   and ordered for the same  choices they made formerly. Finally it was me who come forward for a try and I choose pasta this time rather than ribs ( I choose in last visit )with a cherry mojito.

It was Parmesan crusted chicken  for me. Its is a marinate crusted & coated chicken with the italian sauces and fattuccine pasta along with  the mushroom and alfredo sauce.The breaded chicken was so tender and crusty with a big serving of pasta that made my hubbi  jealous of my choice .the meal was so delish and  ample as it was easily enough for two people. 

Applebee's did not ignore littles  with us.They offer colors with a big coloring sheets for an activity to the little kids that's always a good part of a restaurant. it kept aariz,  my son,  so engrossed as we totally forgot we have a tantrum lover child  with us.

Country fried chicken was the best option for my kids as we did not order the kids meal and go for the all regular  meals.it's perfect for my  chicken lover daughter with plenty of meshed  potatoes and steam veggies. My daughter hates vegetables but she has a mom like me who always volunteer for some yum healthy options. Fried chicken is very juicy and tender and the country sauce is really the  super sumptuous .I always borrowed  the sauce from my daughter to try with my any meal.

A serving of four  slices of garlic bread is a complimentary serving to fill any unfulfilled portion  of your appetite . We  really don't  have any such place as all their servings were  ample and enough for two people. 

It was the mutton ribs I choose during my last visit . It is  grilled and almost  free from   any calories guilt afterwards . The four ribs were served with plain rice and mushrooms. The ribs were yummy but I couldn't eat  the plain rice without a gravy so I had to leave that. 

Fiesta lime chicken is  grilled chicken and very yummy with seasoned rice,  lime sauce and freshly made pico de gallo.Maxi _ranches and heck _chadder is mouth watering and Pico de  Gallo is yum.as it's  grilled so  have a watch on calories.

The colorful  glamorous environment filled with green pink and yellow,  is lush with elegant paintings of the capital and the world around.it's really a big dinning hall that contributes our aesthetic sense and cheers our mood.

It was the last but not the least delicacy that impressed me, the matching mint candies they offered us while we were leaving. It really made some value to the place,  taste  and impressions,as manners are like zero in arithmmatic.it's nothing in itself but when used with something,  raise their value. the candies perfectly played the role of zero behind  their  services. 

For us it is one of our favourite spots now we are expected to visit every now and then . Applebee's  knows how to make a perfect family place with the appealing delights.they are courteous and hospitable to everyone from around every corner of world. After my every visit up there I will keep adding the updated reviews here in sha Allah!

One to One ,The Village

A few days back we received a groupon voucher for 2 large pizzas with cold drinks in One to One village from one of our family friends . I haven't visited  the four star hotel  so far.So during the 2nd week of Feb.2016 we decided to redeem the voucher. 
      We needed to  follow the Google map to reach there. So as we entered the premise, we noticed we do not get any reception nearby. We inquired an attendant and he guided us about the direction of the dinning hall.
  We popped in the hall but there was not  any  attendent around to greet us and to  take us to the table. We approaced the  desk and the desk boy  took us to our  reserved table.

    About  the interiors, it was quite  simple .we placed our order for margarita and one to one special pizza.

Usually  I  avoid to post my family photos, but now as I have  a  very few photos of their hall so I am  offering you my family photo  to have a batter view.they started to serve the sauces and cold drinks. I asked the waiter for an extra empty glass for my little man with no ice.I was quite loud but I don't know why he just not listened as for next five minutes  we did not receive anything. As my littluns were eager to drink their cold drink, so we couldn't afford any more delay and my hubby waved to another and asked for a glass.As a whole scene,  I did not observe any  warm hospitality  there or any quick and efficient attendance  . Two or three servers  were available there  but  showing very cold shoulders.It  seemed  as they were not very happy with us or may be they do not like to give any protocol to the groupon voucher holders. In any case our moods were ruining  every minute. 

They served pizzas quite coldly as there was some sort of ban on politeness .it was even more disappointing as they did not serve any of their fresh bread that is very customary around every pizza counter.this was the only place we were served pizza alone .it was really strange and disappointing . As we were five including my four year old son and one friend of us . it was a perfect pizza serving with the expected complimentary fresh bread but the absence really left a very bad taste in my mouth .I planned to order some extra food for us but my husband simply discouraged me as he was  quite unhappy with the services and wanted to leave immediately. 

So their poor services, skipped sessions of starters, very cold behavior totally ruin the taste of pizza.may be it could be yummy but at the moment no one  was enjoying the taste. Ultimately,without extending our order we left our tables.I was so in bad mood as I did not try to get any  photoshots over their ;as it's true, the good services makes everything worth trying. It was definitely a no more trying place for me!
