Staycation in Park Rotana ,Abudhabi. park rotana

Sitting on a reclining couch in  the front of a wall size glass window I am looking at the city's glimmering lights those are vanishing slowly. As abudhabi is basically a city full of nature, it is used to sleep till 12, and after 12. it is  awake  inside th walls . My family has gone to sweet dreams while  around  the city's roadside, the  lamp posts and the life are  almost lazy and quite. On my cosy couch I  am resoluted to almost start and half finish my blog about park Rotana, till the moment ,  I am in tonight for a brief one night staycation. Only few knows my love with my pen and notebook.
Behind my seat,  my family is sleeping and snoring, and here I am ,want to write,   to wake till morning with the lamp post lights.A  staycation is an escape for me,  from my busy tiring life, piles of dishes,  load of mess around every corner and thousands of my domestic motherly wifely obligations. During any escape these are the only moments I am away from my work place, my job that's my home.So tonight me and my write up will be together all night long for a cool story of our staycation in park rotana.
Its our first visit in Park Rotana. it seems Rotana has done their best at their every hotel  with the same grace. It has almost the same mark of best  service  as I have been witnessed  in Alain Rotana and khalidiya Palace  Rehaan by Rotana in Abudhabi.

We reached the hotel around 6: 30 .we checked in almost four hours later than the standard check in time ( tough office hours of my husbands job). But there was not any lack of protocol  on the reception.well on some places I have  been noticed that we were not properly welcomed  by  reception if we get late till evening.but Rotana is one of the places where  there the welcome team never sleeps. We  were received warmly on the door as well as on the reception.

.   We had reserved a classic room for us. The reception upgraded  us to a premieum room for a batter place with our family without any extra charges.it was  a  pleasure for us and again Rotana impressed us with their generous services, as it has been offered  to us in Alain Rotana as they upgraded our room to deluxe from classic without request or any extra charges.I do not know how many other hotels provide this upgrade free of charge if available  but up to my experiences yet, I have seen this only in Rotana. May be their are some more destinations that offer such generous attitude that I did  not experienced yet.

We headed towards our room.the room was lovely with all expected commodities.

The primium room was a beautiful room with a  couch,  a kingbed with a full size window opening towards khalifa park. Although they don't have balconies but sitting on the couch facing the park is a real bliss.that's the place I spent my most of the  night with my Ipad and gave attention to some of my writing commitments.

We took a little nap to refresh and then headed towards JINGER: All day dining.the dinning hall  was big and was almost packed with guests. We took our seats  and pick up plates for buffet. They had a big variety of appitisers and desserts.main courses were also various  but  definitely the appetizers and dessert  stations were leaving behind the main courses .As my heart always goes towards  appitizers and desserts  so it didn't make me any difference. It actually gave me an advantage! So large variety of my guilts  was a good point to give park rotana.
For soup they had a sea food soup and a vegetable one  but as soups simply do not suites me so I straightforwardly
started my dinner  with fatoush that had bestest taste in Rotana always. For a little main course taste I picked a hunter  beef that was a real yum with a taste of peanut butter.I really loved those small bits of  hunter beaf that I picked one more on my next round.corn salad and Fish garre was also a yummy choice.Stir fried chicken was  not a less in its taste and aroma.  I tasted a sushi and a bit salomon tartare with bell and peppers that was yummy .Presentation of foods and salads was very colorful and appealing that I was afraid I ll definitely go out of control so I simply left main courses and go to the desserts to finish my meal..it was a good blend of Arabian traditional sweets along with international pastries and cake variety as I may bet I could even fill my appetite with a big variety of  my favorite sweets here. my kiddos were loving strawberries and  marshmallows dipped in fresh choclate! I choose rice pudding with orange cake and a strawberry dipped in the  choclate fountain.it was really very hard to stop me with a large variety of my sweetguilts so to escape thousands additional stock of sweet  calarie i left the dinning hall as soon as my kids started annoying me for pool .

It was really a chilled night with the cool breeze I just felt a bad  need for any cardigan that I simply didn't packed with me. Thanks Heaven that my kids had their woollen dresses and jackets.they rushed towards the slides and I choose a launger. Within fifteen minutes I had to leave the place as it was too chilly, I squeezed towards the outdoor heaters on the coffee table. The cool winter breeze was still freezing me in a semi summer  dress, I ordered a mocha coffee for me as my hubbi was having a little walk around the little play area.it was too cold but it doesn't make any difference with my kids as they we're totally busy on slide as my four years old son is a slide lover!
The chilled breeze outside was sharp and    simply bad for my kids, so we just collected them and returned to our room.they just took few minutes to go to sleep because of there tired busy day in school and office.
The next shiny morning was not indifferent to the last chilly night.the bright sun shines was not capable to stop the frenzy feel. So we could not open our swimming bags  for pools but definitely we enjoyed our breakfast in Jinger with the same grandeur and ambiance.the traditional Arabic breakfast has been served with American variety of muffins, curd, muesli and pies, every thing was available there with live cooking. Milk, juices, luban were also served with the breakfast.
IT was a beautiful stay with best services and comforts.on a little place they are providing the bestest facilities.

Paul Depuis,1889, Yas Mall

Wandering around Yas mall is quite a tiring task, with my two naughty kiddos ,recently adapted heels and so many bags in my hands. So sitting in a restaurant or Borders is a must for us.on 31 Dec.2015, it was Paul, we choosed as our dine in, rest in destination.
My husband headed to the interior part of Paul to sit in but as a photographer, I needed some place with most vibrant views and enjoyable place.so I made him  change our seats and fortunately got one table in  outside sitting area.it was really the best part of the discovery as located in the avenue we could enjoy the free play of my lences and fully entertained with the new years celebrations  in the avenue. A live musical show was going on with some jymnastics and dance items on the stage and we were enjoying the hilarious excitement of  a new years around the corner.

As my hubby with our kiddos got busy with the live musical show, I placed my order with two lasagne, and two kids meals with chicken burgers  and started to get some glimmering  shots of the event.
As the meals approached the table, we really loved the kids meals as with an average price they were offering a full five course meal; small glass of juice, two beautiful burgers with some fries and fresh vegetable and even a small piece of cake as a dessert!  My munchies and even me loved their  meals as it was a totally perfect meal with a reasonable price . We were  served with our  lasagne and  some appetizers but it looked  quite small portion in comparison with kiddos!.:p  !well without any doubt the sauce bottles were amazing and I enjoyed their complimentary bread more than our lasagne!
As a sweet treats I asked for macarons  that were delish ! We enjoyed their meals and  loved their location as well !  Especially it's a real fun  when
Yas mall is hosting some sort of entertainment with a mouth watering taste! as being late for publishing my blog I missed some of my main course photos but I am sure it will look  more yummy when you ordered for yourself! good luck and enjoy fun with yum!!!

Sofitel cornice,Abudhabi

My romance with Sofitel was quite  6 months old.Since I started my wanderlust in UAE,it was one of the highlighted destinations for me .Sofital, located at cornice,Abudhabi, has French styled interiors and the name Sofital carries a big grace and sofistication ( it might Be a spark of my own name as well! ; ) ).So I had  been fencied to be there for the last six months  and had been postpond for this or that reason. In Dec.2015, I  was going to discover the destination finally

.
Me, with my hubbi kash and my two pretty cool munchkins parked straight at the reception door and  the protocol officers  reached to open the doors without any delay.that's the first impression  I never missed to notice as it's the first thing to the protocol. And sofitel did hit the mark about it!
We entered the elegant premises; the interiors were really awe inspiring and beautiful! As it was a festive season of X'mas , We could see many X'mas arrangements of xmass tree, gingerbread house,  bells and all other ornaments in plenty.

The concierge show us the way to all day dinning..I could smell quite cold reception as the dinning staff was not looking very much warm and smiling. Their gestures were not as warm as any one can expect  from a five star hotel.we were almost the second for the lunch so the big all day dinning hall was almost empty. We took our seats  and look around for the lovely interiors. It was elegant  and glamourous .the water channels and fountains were looking awesome  and we were totally in trance of a beautiful and serene enviorment! For their design, interiors,  decorations I will give them 5/5 but their festive celebrations getting definitly 6 out of 5 as we can see that around every corner , on every station , in each style! That was also a bit wow for my kids to be around so many glimmering  xmass trees and such a loud threshold of red and green color!
We started our lunch with the appetizer.salads station was big and undoubtedly full of international appetizers. I took some salads to taste, including fattosh, and baba ghanooch.my dauther, like all kids, straight went  toward pizza  corner and  she was very  overjoyed as they had  variety of pizza and pasta.I was glad for  her to love the pizza but for my appetizers,  that was really not outstanding. It was a quite lack of flavour. We were overwhelmed by the variety but the taste was dispointing.so to satisfy my cravings I bring some fresh fruits .
After her pasta, my litl'n goes for bread and butter and muffins!  Me and my husband head toward grilled and bar b q section..mutton chops were nice,  birayani was yummy and colorful, but the grill fish was just average of taste .All the dinning hall was fully packed with guests now and  everybody filling was  their plates and satisfying their eppitite. For me the food I tried was not very outstanding. Hot and sour chicken was a good option as well I tried a little more sea food but that was quite tasteless!.I couldn't eat or taste more than this as I wanted to reserve some  portion for  my sweet guilt I  never  compromise. So I head towards the dessert station and tried a few cake pieces.without any doubt they have a lot of variety on every section   but they need to improve their taste .May be they  had have some yummilious options that I didn't try, my luck!

Now it was a time to leave the table. We filled our tummies although  our tasteduds were quite disappoited as we did not get that delish  and expected taste we had in our mouths before lunch.Any way our lunch had been finished and my kiddies were totally filled with backery. As I am  a mom of little potty trained prince  so it was totally impossible to leave a  hotel without a toilet visit.I took my boy to the toilet and it was really the worst part of the Sofitel. With elegant  sparkling tiles and modern fittings ,  there was water around  all the counters/ basins .no towel on the counter :all were used and   filled in the towel bucket and nobody even bothered to supply some more. No tissues were available . The hand wash and lotions bottles were thrown up side down randomly. A disastrous mess for a hotel like sofitel,I could never expect.there was totally zero maintainess in the toilets at that moment .thanks God the hand dryer was working otherwise we ddn't have any other option than of being out with dripping wet hands. It was an  end of our visit at sofitel. Sitting in the lobby waiting for our car, I was simply wondering  Sofitel should work up on their tastes  as well as to raise their mantainess  in  toilets!  Good luck sofitel ! Bye bye cornice!
